💎 High-performance Gravel Pump

The gravel pump series is designed for continuous transportation of highly corrosive materials that cannot be handled by ordinary sand pumps due to large particle sizes. It is ideally suited for dredging by dredgers, river cleaning, mining, and metal smelting slag transport.

Featuring a single pump shell structure with a spacious flow channel, the over-flow parts are crafted from hard nickel, high chromium, and other wear-resistant alloys. The discharge direction can be adjusted to any 360° position, offering excellent cavitation performance and corrosion resistance.

🚀 Industrial Applications
Gravel Pump Application
  • Dredging of rivers and ports: Pumping highly abrasive mud and sand containing pebbles and shells (up to 300 mm).
  • Sand mining ships: Continuous transport of gravel-sand mixtures at concentrations up to 50% by volume.
  • Mining tailings backfilling: Pumping coarse tailings to underground goafs with heads up to 80 meters.
  • Aggregate washing: Lifting sand-containing wastewater at rates up to 9360 m³/h.
  • Sea sand desalination: High-chromium casting resists chloride ion corrosion in high-salt environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the maximum particle size these pumps can handle?
A: Depending on the specific model, standard ZS series pumps can pass solids ranging from 82mm to 241mm. Widened impellers and volutes can be customized for even larger channels.
Q: Are these pumps suitable for seawater or high-salinity environments?
A: Yes. We can manufacture flow parts using duplex stainless steel or rubber linings to resist chloride ion corrosion. Bearings and sleeves can also be upgraded to 316L or ceramic coatings.
Q: Do these gravel pumps have self-priming capabilities?
A: These are centrifugal pumps and do not have inherent self-priming. However, for suction requirements over 5m, we can equip them with a vacuum water diversion system with a start-up time of under 60 seconds.
Q: How can I power the pump if electricity is not available on site?
A: We provide diesel engine solutions with SAE standard flywheel housings and high-elastic coupling direct connections, ranging from 4kW to 1200kW. Hydraulic motor drives are also available.
Q: What is the expected lifespan of the wearing parts?
A: For typical gravel (80 kg/m³), a high-chrome impeller lasts between 4,000 to 6,000 hours. Rubber impellers generally last 1,500 to 2,500 hours, depending on the abrasive nature of the media.
Q: Can the pump configuration be customized for specific projects?
A: Absolutely. Our engineering team provides detailed CAD drawings and tailored designs to meet specific flow rates, heads, and mounting requirements.
