These pumps combine the benefits of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. The unique large-wrap-angle open twisted blades provide a helical propulsion effect, guiding liquids and solids toward the axis before expelling them through the centrifugal section. This results in a low NPSH (as low as 1mWc) and minimizes cavitation damage.

The energy is transferred gradually along the extended length of the impeller (3-5 times longer than traditional impellers), creating a small energy gradient. This allows for smooth flow with low shear forces, preserving the physical state of delicate particles or activated sludge.
